Meet at Artillery Hill Gate. We’ll drive one, at most two, vehicles with tools, tarps, and as many volunteers as we can fit on board up to the “triangle” next to Memory’s Vault.

Group leaders will have recommendations for finding small to medium size infestations of scotch broom and spurge laurel at various places scattered around the top of Artillery Hill. We’ll break up into smaller groups, fan out,  find and remove broom. Depending on concentrations and size, we’ll drag some to roadside. Random plants can be hauled or hidden. 

We will have a few weed wrenches and loppers. Broom stems need to be cut below ground level. Trowels, hori knives, and spades work great for creating access to the stem. Bring loppers, gloves and join the fun. We will wrap up work and head back to the parking area no later than 11:30.
