PROJECTS NEEDING YOUR FINANCIAL SUPPORT

The Friends have a variety of programs and projects that need your leadership and financial support:

  • Hire licensed landscape contractors as required to complement the work of our volunteers in support of our Habitat Restoration projects - $14,500

  • Fund the purchase of native plants to be planted in areas recently cleared of invasive plants – $9,300

  • Fund the purchase of 1,000 native trees to be planted throughout the park - $13,800

  • Fund the purchase of seed and mulch to create a Wildflower Meadow in the recently cleared garbage dump area - $1,900

  • Fund our multi-year Nix-the-Nox Project to remove poison hemlock - $4,000

  • Fund the conversion of Battery Stoddard into a new park Interpretive Center$3,800

  • Fund the ongoing maintenance of Rhody Garden with mulch and fertilizer - $1,300

  • Fund the replacement of the Rhody Garden’s failing irrigation with a more resilient system - $17,800

  • Underwrite a one-year supply of Dogi-Pot pet waste bags for the trails area - $2,300

  • Underwrite a one-year supply of Trail Maps for the park - $2,900
